Top five movies to watch out for in 2020.

1. King of boys 2.
Lots of movies  the will be in the cinema this year but King of boys (2) is a must watch the part one was the no one spot in cinemas for seven weeks in 2018 and am sure the part 2 is also going to be amazing. King of boys 1 was captivating, realistic, intense and had a strong acting. The filmmaker kemi Adetiba has dropped hints about some scenes in the part (2), however, the filmmaker refused to clarify if the intended ‘king of boys (2)’ will be a prequel or sequel. She tweeted, “so , finally tackled the scene where makanaki and odugwu Malay meet (read as confront) each other for the first time in KOB 2…Although KOB 1 already had transitions of present and past events. This is one movie to look out for in 2020 it sure is going to be gripping.

2. Kunle Afolayan’s new movie; The Citation.
The movie explores sexual harassment in Universities. The movie will be shoot in three African countries Nigeria, Senegal and cape Verde. Temi otedola gets her first acting gig as she stars in the movie, Speaking further on the theme of the movie, the filmmaker said, “CITATION will create awareness on the different forms of violence against women and girls in the public and private sphere. It will educate the society on women’s rights and the ways to enforce these rights for the achievement of equality and tranquility. The movie will encourage and embolden women to stand up against mistreatment and abuse by a patriarchal society. It has also been designed to propel women to aspire to become successful leaders.

3. Legend of Inikpi; Mercy Johnson-Okojie’s new film is a historical drama inspired by true events that happened in the history of Igala and Benin kingdoms. Veteran Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, says making her new film, ‘The Legend Of Inikpi’, scared her because of how different it is from what is common in Nollywood these days. The movie tells of cultural stories, Set in the ancient kingdoms of Igala and Bini, the film tells the story of two kingdoms on the brink of war. When the oracle informs King Attah of Igala Kingdom of the human sacrifice demanded by the gods, the king plunges into despair, haunted by the ghosts of his past; this is a sacrifice he is not prepared to give. The story also tells of the revered Igala princess ‘Inikpi Oma Ufedo Baba’ who chooses to give her life for the freedom of her homeland. The movie would be in cenimas on 24th January 2020.

4. Who’s the boss; The movie follows Liah, an overworked Ad Agency executive who invents a boss for her startup ad agency to keep it secret from her employer. However, things get worse as her agency gets significantly more successful, and she has to devise more ways to hide it from her boss. The film’s star-studded cast features Funke Akindele, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Segun Arinze, Sharon Ooja, Beverly Osu, Bolly Lomo, Ini Dima-Okojie, and Tayo Faniran. Interesting actors this movie is a must watch to be out in cinemas on 28 of February 2020.

5. Foreigners god; this is an upcoming fantasy film directed by Toka McBaror and produced by Ifan Ifeanyi Michael. The movie stars Pete Edochie, Onyeka Onwenu, Ini Dima-Okojie, Sharon Ooja, Sam Dede, Linda Osifo, Annie Idibia, Mel Chude Lala Akindoju, Kunle Idowu and Kyle Colton alongside ex-Big Brother Naija housemates; Teddy A and BamBam. At the peak of colonial era Nigeria, English documentary photographer, Pepper Claude, following a tale of the supernatural, journeys into the heart of Igbo land in search of a story.
All goes well until his bodyguard mysteriously disappears and he falls in love with one of the culprits, Nnenna, an accused witch living under subhuman conditions in a witch camp in the heart of the jungle. This is surely and intriguing movie. 

Nollywood is sure to give it’s best in 2020 so we except nothing less.
