*Coal City Film Festival* is bringing NOLLYWOOD home to the South East Nigeria. Our goal is to open the artistic door of South East Nigeria, to the rest of the world.

We are dedicated to celebrating African and World Cinema at the heart of South East Nigeria – Enugu State, whilst giving local and International arts community an opportunity to salvour diverse bubbling film and tourism experiences in Nigeria away from the ever busy city of Lagos to the historical coal city.

There will be beginners/intermediate classes for next generation Filmmakers and Actors, there will be master classes for practicing professionals on Producing Films that Sells, and Documentary Filmmmaking as alternative to the business of Cinema. All classes will be handled by accomplished PROFESSIONALS. It is also an opportunity to watch amazing films for FREE in the cinema during the 3days event. There will be tours to locations that gave birth to most of the old great films of Nollywood in the 90s and early 2000s, and to historical coal site and other tourist sites in Enugu state.

To cap it up, we will have International Day, as some embassies will be discussing with our local Filmmakers on how we can foster collaborations, as well as award night to celebrate and appreciate accomplished independent Filmmakers from both within and outside Nigeria. Then of course PARTY AFTER PARTY in a cozy Night Club in Enugu.
