Job Summary
We are looking for candidates who possess the ability to think both creatively and analytically. The
content writer’s duties will include producing and publishing content, writing, editing and proofreading,
and formulating content strategies, among other tasks. The ideal candidate should be comfortable
finding creative ways of building an online presence, as well as using analytics in the formulation of a
content strategy. A deep sense of ownership, drive, and entrepreneurship is essential.
Responsibilities
• Create an editorial calendar and follow the calendar to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Planning and executing a content strategy that drives high engagement
• Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content
• Promoting new posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert
and attract new readers.
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better
understand the audience.
• Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create
stronger, more engaging content
• Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization’s mission to inspire ideas and
content
• Conducting keyword research and using SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company
website.
• Provide editorial, creative and marketing support to the team.
Requirements (What we’d love to see)
• Proven work experience as a Content Writer with a portfolio of published articles
• Tech-savvy with the ability to make complex technical matters easy-to understand even for non-
technical people
• Understanding of content marketing tactics, such as SEO, digital advertising and social media
marketing
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
• Familiarity with web publications
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
• 2+ years of experience in content marketing
