Cavista Holdings is looking for a talented individual to join our team as a mid-level communications expert. This role is perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on our PR and Communications strategy.

Support Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Director of Communications to shape and execute our PR and Communications strategy, including managing crises and issues for Cavista Holdings and its subsidiaries.

Strategic Planning: Develop, monitor, and implement a comprehensive annual and weekly communications grid, ensuring all campaign activities are aligned across the PR and Communications function and the entire organization.

Collaboration: Work alongside communications leads across our subsidiaries and partner with the People Team to drive an effective employee engagement strategy. Your efforts will inspire our employees to become passionate ambassadors for Cavista.

Operational Excellence: Play a key role in ensuring the PR and Communications team meets its objectives by maintaining alignment with a clear operational plan.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience: Over 8 years in business communications, journalism, public relations, or public affairs.
Skillset:

Exceptional writing (Associated Press style), editing, and proofreading skills.
Proficiency in developing content strategies for web and print.
Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
Expertise in managing web and print projects.
Deep understanding of content and social media best practices for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Familiarity with media and communications measurement metrics.
Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in knowledge management and speech writing is an asset.
Skills in video development, graphic design, and editorial work are advantageous.
Proven multitasking abilities and capability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage a range of duties and changing priorities.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across cultures.
