Consat is a Direct to Home (DTH) broadcasting service owned by CBS (Continental Broadcasting Service, owners of TVC and MaxFm 102.5). Content Editor Job Summary This person is responsible for cutting and editing the video and can sometimes double up as a DIT person. Job Description Receiving brief and maybe an outline of footage and or a shot list script or screenplay The video editor shall be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that’s suitable forbroadcasting. The material which will include camera footage dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects. Assembling all raw footage with camera shots either recorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer Inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronizing and storing them into files on the computer Digitally cutting files to put together the sequences of the film and deciding what’s usable Creating a “rough cut” (or assembly edit) of the programme / film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages Reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video. Will work on a contract basis and be responsible for post-production studios works television broadcast and contentment acquisitions. Digitally cutting files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what’s usable Types of Film / Video Editing Work shall be on a variety of productions including: Commercials Music videos Broadcasting programmes, e.g. Shows and events, channels contents etc. Features films Corporate events Additional task may include: Suggesting or selecting music videos Overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing Experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphics elements Carry out online editing duties, which involves finalizing technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage grading and coloring and adding special effects Method of Application Interested and qualified candidates should forward their Resume to the application email with subject as position applied for
