Job Description
GAIA Women Club is a network of experienced business and professional women, which enables connections, partnerships, and collaborations. It is for the select leading and experienced woman looking to establish the bonds for impact in her life and business.

Due to the nature of our business, the core of our Marketing relies on carefully crafted, curated and integrated communications.

The role will report to the Founder and CEO and will have responsibility for the overall communications strategy, counsel and deliverables related to executive visibility through speaker engagements, internal communications, and external messaging and platforms, including social media.

Communication vehicles and platforms will include keynotes, blogs, videos, media opportunities, internal channels and social/digital platforms.

As Brand Communications & Social Media Officer, you will be responsible for content, creation and management across all creative work, including print collateral, websites, email campaigns, and many related tasks.

We need a storyteller, who is able to grow GAIA’s social media footprint, manage multiple tasks simultaneously while paying attention to detail and collaborate in ensuring we define and hit our brand communication acquisition and retention targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

Vendor delivery and productivity management
Media & third-party management
Manages Social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter) promote “products” and engages with followers.
Creates various materials/designs for social media
Responds to posts and/or comments from clients
Performs research to find resources, or other content relevant to the GAIA client base and posts to social networks in a manner that invites conversation and interaction
Updates social media accounts with current and relevant photos, videos and product content.
Acts as webmaster for the Club website and uploads daily catchy content and images for consumer awareness, acquisition and retention.
Builds and grows online social networks by increasing client-base and interactions.
Helps to increase the overall online presence of the Club
Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials.
Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.
Prepare detailed media activity reports.
Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all marketing materials.
Work with the CEO and GM to generate new ideas and strategies.
Supervise projects to guarantee all content is publication-ready.
Create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events, and promotions.
Lead the marketing and public relations staff.
Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.
Website Content Development: Based on an initial review of the website template and structure, combined with a brand review, various blurbs and micro-content articles to be developed for the different pages of the website, where required.
Blog Content Strategy: The blog will require a proposed summary of content themes and frequencies, to be developed based on an understanding of the brand and its messaging.
Blog Content Development: Once the content strategy has been confirmed and approved, the proposed structure will serve as a guide for developing blog posts for the GAIA web page
Monthly Newsletter Development: The monthly newsletter will have a proposed summary of content themes and frequencies, to be developed again based on an understanding of the brand and its messaging.
Monthly Dining Club Write up: (same for other mini club events) This requires no standard format or messaging, as the content for the blogpost is gathered from firsthand experience at the event. The writer drafts the article from her observation point of view and uses that view to provide an account of the various activities of the evening, while constantly reiterating the core GAIA ethos of women supporting and connecting with each other.

Requirements

A Bachelors’ degree or HND in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations.
Minimum of 3years work experience in Communications & Brand Management, or similar role
Effective written, verbal and listening communications skills
Website management and digital communications
Good understanding of the use and effect of social media
Salary: Salary is competitive and will depend on the level and experience of the selected candidate.
