Creative Strategist

JOB SUMMARY:

The end-to-end development of creative concepts for the company and its clients from ownership of the initial ideation and concept generation, through to the fleshing out and driving of the viability development and costing out, and production and actualisation.
Researching, developing, and writing new business proposal decks that are creative and clearly convey clients’ goals through both strategic and tactical means.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Concept development including interpretation of brief, concept ideation, the preparation of proposals, the pitching of concepts to prospective clients, and the firming up of concepts with costings and budgets.
Conducting the research required to evolve creative ideas and concepts into realistic and deliverable, strategic content.  Qualifying and turning around research findings quickly to inform brainstorming and proposal development sessions.
Crafting copy, proposals and presentations from overall vision and concept to specific activation elements, etc., within short timeframes and instant deadlines.
The successful activation, execution and completion of client projects; ensuring that the clients’ goals and requirements are exceeded, and that each project is completed on time and within budget.
The end-to-end production of the creative concepts, ensuring that the wanted content and look is brought to life and executed, through copy writing, the collateral developed, the run-throughs, etc.
Providing creative development expertise for TV content, e.g. scripted genres. Providing content DNA guidance across all scripted and non-scripted content for Livespot.
Getting involved in new business development opportunities and taking an active role in presenting creative marketing concepts and strategies to potential clients.
Participating in internal and external communications which may include pitch, email, correspondence, phone calls and meetings.
Developing high quality creative content, including but not limited to, copy, event content, advert content, website and social media content; on time and on budget.
Working with digital marketing in general and social media specifically to increase organic and paid reach and awareness, and align with project objectives.
Working hand-in-hand with internal design, production and project management, and, talent departments to ensure deliverables for proposals.
Compiling materials for post-project case studies and use as new business collateral.
Keeping up-to-date with new trends, latest and future industry software and tools and the most appropriate techniques for the needs of the company.
Other duties as required to deliver and maintain a world class service at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Minimum 5 years’ experience of the media, marketing and creative industries in Nigeria.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, Marketing or Mass Communication.
Experienced Microsoft Office user, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Competent Internet, email and Google applications user.
Sound knowledge of the entertainment and production industries within Nigeria.
Minimum three years of experience working on experiential marketing/communication campaigns with a high level of proficiency in writing.
Strong communicator – verbal and written; excellent writer with a background in marketing.
Knowledge of cutting edge trends and consumer audiences.
Experienced in working directly with clients.
Adaptable to a changing environment; able to maintain tight deadlines and work under pressure.

LOCATION:

Lagos, Nigeria, and other locations as required.
WORKING HOURS:

08.30am to 17.00pm Mondays to Fridays
