Job Profile
Softcom is seeking a talented video editor and animator to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. Ultimately, as a Video Editor and Animator, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story. As a Video Editor and Animator, your job responsibilities will include the following:
Manipulate video footage using modern editing techniques,Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value,Trimming footage and putting together the rough project,Inserting dialog, sound, effects, music, graphics, animations, and special effects,Using software and other techniques to produce animations,Ensure the final product aligns with the needs of Softcom and is delivered on time and without exceeding the budget.You’d be a good fit if:A Bachelor’s degree in a related field2-4 years proven work experience as a video editor and animatorSolid experience with digital technologies and editing software packagesDemonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolioThorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuityFamiliarity with special effects, 3D and compositingGood time-management skillsGreat interpersonal and communication skillsA creative mind and storytelling skillsThe ability to execute projects efficiently and according to schedule
