Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Fashion Production Lead at Zuri Africa. The Fashion Production Lead will be responsible for overseeing the production process, coordinating with fashion manufacturers and designers, managing production strategies, and driving sales initiatives. This role is primarily located in Lagos but allows for some remote work flexibility.
Qualifications
Fashion Styling, Fashion Design, and Fashion skills
Experience in graphic design, illustration, and tech pack design
Strong understanding of quality control
Strong experience in fabric and material sourcing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Proven track record of successful fashion production management
Job Summary
The Fashion Design Lead at Zuri develops designs specifically for clothing and apparel such as t-shirts, and essential wardrobe wear while ensuring that all garments produced meet Zuri’s quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for design and attention to detail in overseeing the quality control process of both creative work and finished products.
Creative Design:Create production designs (detailed tech pack) for the brand and third-party clients. Zuri’s brand identity and client specifications.
Develop detailed visual mockups to communicate design concepts to the production team and clients accurately.
Accurately monitor the production of clothing prototypes to ensure vendor partnerships and client acquisitions
Design for various print materials, including marketing collateral and promotional items.
Collaborate to produce on-brand designs for client proposals and internal use.
Ensure the timely completion of all design projects while maintaining high creative standards.
Quality Assurance:Inspect garment samples and finished products to ensure designs are accurately printed and meet Zuri’s quality expectations.
Oversee the production process to ensure that all creative work, including mockups, is translated properly into the final product.
Work closely with manufacturers and the production team to resolve any quality issues.
Maintain records of quality inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure that all products meet delivery deadlines and maintain consistency in quality.
Sourcing of fabric, materials, and tools required for clothing production and supply chain management.
Inventory management of raw materials, jobs produced and distributed.
