Oru Russell is writer and filmmaker propelled by deep experiences of the human condition, with a keen interest on the heroic stories bordering on African culture, arts and society. As a graduate of Theatre and Dramatic studies I employ the elements of the theater while nurturing the aesthetics of the cinema to create a synergy in African storytelling for both stage and screen.
My works have been screened locally and internationally including receiving nominations. I love challenges and collaborations, I love to be taken to new worlds through my writings, to discover and learn in the process of creating art.
