About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Social Media Manager to oversee the social media presence, growth strategies and assist with light production tasks for two brands: “Naija Best Chef” and “African Love Chronicles.” In this role, you will be responsible for crafting engaging content, increasing follower engagement, and expanding the online communities for both shows. The ideal person will be truly passionate about social media and must be an avid social media user. She/he will be an outgoing person, will be comfortable initiating conversations and being in front of camera, and will be a true ambassador of both brands. She/he will truly love cooking shows and dating shows, and keep up to date with the popular ones.

Responsibilities:

Participant Management:

Promote participant interest in the shows through social media platforms.
Develop and drive prospect outreach strategies to secure applicants for both shows.
Manage applicant applications through application portal.
For African Love Chronicles, track responses to pre-designed compatibility quizzes for prospective participants and lead participant relationship management
Social media strategy:

Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies for “Naija Best Chef” and “African Love Chronicles” to increase brand awareness, engagement, and viewership.
Create content calendars, schedule posts, and manage daily activities across multiple social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly to ensure our brands remain competitive.
Social media management:

Craft engaging, on-brand content that resonates with the target audience for each show, including text, images, graphics, videos, and live streams.
Utilize basic smartphone photography skills to capture behind-the-scenes content, sneak peeks, and interviews, engaging and exciting the audience.
Ensure content consistency and quality, maintaining a cohesive visual identity and voice for both brands.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely promotion of new episodes, behind-the-scenes content, and other related materials.
Monitor and analyze social media analytics to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
Audience Engagement:

Monitor and respond to audience comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally, fostering a sense of community.
Develop and implement engagement strategies, such as contests, giveaways, and interactive events, to encourage user participation.
Utilize social listening tools to gather insights, track sentiment, and make data-driven decisions to enhance the online experience for our audiences.
Analytics and Reporting:

Track and analyze social media performance metrics, including reach, engagement, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
Generate regular reports summarizing key insights and trends, along with actionable recommendations to optimize social media efforts.
Brand Collaboration:

Seek partnerships and collaborations with influencers, brands, and other stakeholders to expand the reach and visibility of our shows.
Website Management:

Update website content from the backend, ensuring it aligns with social media campaigns and brand initiatives.
Implement SEO best practices and optimize website content for search engines.
Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience in social media management (1 – 4 years), preferably in the entertainment industry.
Exceptional understanding of various social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software is an advantage.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
A deep passion for television and the entertainment industry.
Basic smartphone photography skills.
Keen interest in following social media trends and creating content around them.
Knowledge of website management and backend updates.
