What is a Content Creator/Social Media Coordinator… What does he/she do?

As a Content Creator/Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for continually developing high-quality content, for company’s websites and social media channels, implementing our Social Media strategy. You are also responsible for creating some visual components for our digital channels to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. The ideal candidate for this role should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. They should also have a deep understanding of digital marketing trends, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media platforms. You will be working closely with the Marketing and Sales departments and your duties will require excellent interpersonal and communicative skills, as well as demonstrating sound leadership and decision-making ability.


Create and publish engaging content for various platforms such as website, social media, blog, etc.
Conduct research to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Collaborate with other teams such as marketing to create and design content that aligns with the company’s goals and brand identity.
Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent content production and timely delivery.
Optimize content for search engines and social media platforms to increase visibility and reach.
Analyze content performance metrics such as views, engagement, and conversion rates to inform future content strategies.
Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and style.
Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and technologies to continuously improve content creation skills.
Manage and oversee social media content.
Measure the success of every social media campaign.
Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies.
Use social media marketing tools.
Ensure content is informative and appealing.
Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.
Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
Utilize a variety of writing styles appropriate for our company.
Adhere to our policies and procedures.
Follow our brand guide.
Execute content projects as assigned.
Publish content on web pages and social media channels.
Define most important social media KPIs.
Measure and monitor content success, progress and the success of every social media campaign.
Monitor traffic and conversion.
Give insights on the content performance.
Create visually attractive pieces of content and ensure content is informative and appealing.
Requirements and Skills

BA in Marketing or similar relevant field.
Proven experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter, Social Media Coordinator or similar role
Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions.
Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research.
Good understanding of social media KPIs
Familiarity with web design and publishing
Outstanding writing skills and editing skills.
Experience with proofreading
Good time-management skills
Ability to create engaging and compelling content.
Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies
Experience with content management systems

Portfolio of published articles or other content

Salary: ₦120,000.00 – ₦180,000.00 per month
