Job Title: Creative Associate – Fashion
Job Description: – Managing of Garmprint’s tailoring division including its employees. – Hiring and training Tailors. – Creating work schedules for tailors and communicate an simple production chart to staff. A written schedule for each week should be issued in advance. – Enforce production system and degree of sectionalized working as prescribed by management. – Report production quantity and maintain register as per format. – Facilitate the creation of clothing items by developing, adapting, or copying existing designs for garments. – Ensure merchandise is being moved through the tailoring process and back to retail in a timely fashion. – Confer with colleagues, customers and clients to determine the type of material and garment style desired. – Estimate the cost of production of a garment or collection based on factors such as time and material requirements. – Measures customers for size using tape measures and records the measurements. – Conduct checks on garments produced and altered by tailors including but not limited to pressing merchandise; checking garments by measurements and ensuring the absence of spots and stains. – Maintain records of rework, repairs and rejects to enable effective monitoring of activity and swift corrective action before too much defective work has been produced. – Support Garmspot’s goals and values by following policies and procedures, completing administrative tasks correctly and on time – Trains workers by demonstrating work methods and machine operation. – Work quickly and strive to increase productivity.
